13 artists and practitioners selected for Ars Bioarctica residency

The practicioners listed below have been selected for Ars Bioarctica residency at the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station for 2023. We are happy to welcome such a diverse and multidisciplinary group to Kilpisjärvi!

On addition to the artist and practicioners listed above, there are going to be two other residency programmes taking place at the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station under the umbrella of Ars Bioarctica. These include Science Trails fellow Till Bovermann and North Escaping fellows aRzu and Maria Lepistö as well as Jacek Smolicki.
 

Ars Bioarctica residency programme has been running since 2009. It is hosted by the Bioart Society in collaboration with the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station of the University of Helsinki. Located in Kilpisjärvi, the residency has an emphasis on the subarctic environment and art and science collaboration. It is open for professional artists, scientists, and art & science research teams at all stages of their careers.
