October light.

During my stay here I have been gathering visual information relating to the changing light quality and shortening daylight hours. I have also been observing texture and negative space within the landscape, taking particular interest in places where water collects, places such as the lake edge, pools in the hills, waterfalls and rapids. I will now be spending my time in England developing all the drawings, photographs and sound clips I gathered into large-scale drawings that I hope will transport the viewer to the Arctic. I have posted here 4 photographs showing different light qualities, from lilac to pink to grey, taken across October, some falling at sunrise, some at late afternoon.
