Bioart Society’s new CLUVEX project is looking for moderators
posted by Milla Millasnoore on 8 December 2023

The CLUVEX (Climate University for Virtual Exchanges) (2023-2026) project organises international workshops on Zoom for students during virtual exchange weeks, focusing on topics related to climate change and sustainable development. The workshops will last one week each and are held once per semester during 2023-2026.

The project is now recruiting 10 moderators to support the virtual exchange weeks. Moderators will guide discussions in smaller groups and help facilitate active student participation. The group discussions will be conducted in English.

Prior to the exchange weeks, moderators will receive specialised training on how to facilitate groups participating in online education, with an emphasis on climate and environmental sustainability learning (including technical, facilitatory and content training). During this training, participants will be familiarized with Climate University courses and the virtual exchange concept.

Moderators are required to

  • Participate in four short training sessions (2 hours per day) during spring 2024
  • To implement the training in at least one out of the five virtual exchange weeks (4 days, 2-3 hours per day) during 2023-2026

The training is free of charge and moderators will receive a certificate.

Unfortunately this is an unpaid opportunity. Moderators will gain knowledge and expertise on how to host and organise international online workshops. In case moderators are themselves studying, they can use this opportunity to accumulate study credits.

To sign up for the moderation training please send a short application letter to yvonne.billimore@bioartsociety.fi. Deadline for applications is 31st January 2024.
