Recoil is a danish artist working in the intersection of choreography, technology and ecology. Presently the group is engaged in The Membrane Project, a series of works confronting choreography with the staging of the other-than-human body. As I collapse (2017) is a performance exploring microscopic life at human scale in an encounter with a bioluminescent algae. MASS - bloom explorations (2018) is a durational choreographic installation about decomposing and the continuities between life and death. This is an encounter with a plastic eating mealworm species. Extended falls to humanity (2019) will reorganize habitats of homo sapiens including public space as inherent physicalizations of our species oranisation and power structures.
