Carolin Lange

Carolin Lange ( *1986 DE) is an artist and researcher based in Rotterdam (NL). Graduated from the Glasgow School of Art (UK) in 2015, she currently holds a research position at the visual arts department, RWTH Aachen University (DE).

Her work was presented a.o. at the ZKM Karlsruhe (DE), the Neuer Aachener Kunstverein (DE), the Dundee Contemporary Arts Center (UK), Mc Lellan Art Galleries Glasgow (UK) and the Humboldt Forum Berlin (DE). In the framework of artist-in-residencies she realized projects a.o. in Finland, Belgium, Scotland, the Netherlands and Germany.

She works in the field of notation and experimental photography. Her process-based work explores methods and media to make local properties of light visible. In collaborating with scientific researchers, she looks at the inter-subjective* condition (V.Flusser.1986) out of we situational re-act on a phenomena in view with the media in use.
