A seminar focusing on the interaction between arts and biology has been one of the important goals for Ars Bioarctica from the beginning. The Finnish Society of Biology, Vanamo (Suomen Biologian Seura Vanamo ry.), organised the Havahdus Seminar merging biology and art. The Finnish Bioart Society and members Antero Kaare, Anu Osva and Leena Valkeapää contributed to this seminar through content development and lectures. As well, the students participating in the Arctic journey course (5.-12.9.2009) presented the outcome of their work.
The seminar was documented in a special issue of Luonnon Tutkija (Nature Researcher) magazine featuring all presentations.
